The Supervision Sessions
Listen in to three Professional Supervisors as they examine what supervision is.
Based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, often in a Pastoral Supervision context, they unpack the myths, the common questions about what supervision is, and chew the fat about what being in supervision is all about.
Be a fly on the wall and get the inside insight into Supervision. Released weekly.
The Supervision Sessions
A curated conversation
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In episode 3 we discuss, "what’s the gift for a 42nd wedding anniversary?", "how is supervision a curated conversation?" and "is supervision Biblical?". We also ask, "when do you feel at your best?". Clearly not all of our conversation was supervision related, though perhaps important none-the-less. You be the judge of that one.

If you're unsure which circle Nina was talking about in her curation of a supervision sessions, that was the Reflective Learning model by Allyson Davys & Liz Beddoe. You can find out more information about it in their book Best Practise in Professional Supervision. It is based on Kolb's learning cycle, and mentioned at the end of the podcast was Ken's interest in the Kairos circle which has a similar movement but is from discipleship theory rather than supervision and adult learning theory. To find out more, the Kairos circle or Learning circle (3dm) is from chapter 6 of the book Building a Discipling Culture by Mike Breen. For the cliff notes version, see here.
